Founded in 1996 by Richard Koronowski, The company is based in Somersham in Cambridge, UK.

Promed began in the Vascular market and have since provided support for over 50,000 EVLT procedures.

Promed was founded by Richard who has been involved in a number of UK first medical advancements including the first laparoscopic Cholecystectomy, the introduction of medical lasers for the treatment of varicose veins and the UK introduction of the Thulium laser among other firsts.

Constantly seeking new advancements and uses for medical lasers. Recent developments include transurethral laser ablation of bladder tumours (TULA) taking patients from theatres into an outpatient setting. As well utilising diode lasers in the upper tract for urology ensuring a better outcome for TCC. This gives better patient outcomes and vital savings to the UK NHS.

In coloproctology we are leading the way in the UK with the treatment of fistula. Giving unrivalled results for patients with difficult debilitating medical conditions. Again utilising our diode offering.

Promed has strong long-term partnerships with multinational suppliers Lisa laser and Biolitec. We also work with a number of other valuable suppliers.

Promed has sought specialists for all medical disciplines we work alongside. We aim to be a vital and critical part of your medical team.
